Obituary

George Gray George Earl Gray age 94 of Dardanelle died Friday, May 22, 2015 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. He was born March 19, 1921, at Chickalah to the late David Franklin and Rosa Ellen Dean Gray. He was an Elder at Gum Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church. As a member of the United States Marine Corps's "Fighting Fourth Division" he served in the Pacific during WWII. He saw active duty on Saipan, Tinian, Roi Namur and Iwo Jima. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph Frank Gray and Everett Worth Gray; two sisters, Esther Gray Carter and Elsie Gray Carter. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Sue mercer Gray of Dardanelle; two daughters, Venetta Jo Moczygemba and husband Allen of Texas, Karen Sue Adney of Dardanelle; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 10:00A.M., Friday, May 29, 2015 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bobby Loyd officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, 220 John Babish Lane, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
