Sam Parker George M. "Sam" Parker age 77 of Dardanelle died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Russellville Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born December 2, 1935 at Cardon Bottoms to the late Monroe and Willie Manes Parker. He was a farmer, he enjoyed the horse races and making a big garden. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Blackie Hundley; two brothers, Nub and Parker W. Parker. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Kay McGlothin Parker; daughter, Sammy Love and husband Robert; one grandson, Jared Parker Love who was the light of his life; brother, John Parker and wife Carolyn; sister, Wannie Jones and husband Cecil Nordean. Graveside services will be held at 11:00A.M., Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle with Johnathon Whitlock officiating. Visitation will be open Wednesday, Noon to 4:00P.M. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Russellville Nursing and Rehab for the love and care they provided to Sam during the past several years and to Arkansas Hospice for the care they provided during his last days.
