Georgia Lee Beck, 84 of Dardanelle, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born February 5, 1930 in Waldenburg, Arkansas to the late Claude R. and Ola Bolden Woodruff. She was a housewife and a member of the Dardanelle First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wallace Mathews and a son, Tony Mathews. Survivors include her husband, Earnest Beck of Dardanelle; children, Terry Gatlin of Jonesboro, Ray Mathews of Columbia, Mississippi, Debbie Moon of Allen, Texas, Pete Mathews of Russellville; sisters, Christine Seglard of California, Barbara Bise of Little Rock, Diane Combs of West Memphis, Arkansas, Dolly Pankey of McCrory; a brother, Woody Woodruff of Alaska; 8 grandchildren, Dewayne Gatlin, Kim Gatlin, Jeremy Gatlin, Candy Mathews, Trent Mathews, Melanie Williamson, Shawna Mathews, Samatha Mathews, Shawn Mathews, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. Funeral service will be Monday, April 28, 10:00 a.m. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Brother Mike Smith officiating. A private family burial will be at Brearley Cemetery.
