Glenna Gale Buckman, age 59, passed away Monday, July 15. She was born June 4, 1960, in Danville, Arkansas, to the late Glenn Howard and Willa Dale Fryar Buckman. She was a native of Belleville, Arkansas, and lived in various places in Arkansas before moving to Dallas, Texas, in 2018.

Whether with people who knew her a long time where she lived or with people who were with her only a short time during hospital stays, Glenna made a lasting, positive impression that connected her to the hearts of others and enriched their lives. Glenna loved to hug people. She loved others with all her heart. She enjoyed the simple things in life like blowing bubbles, watching airplanes, and noticing flowers. Glenna sang along with hymns and country music, especially liking Dolly Parton and Vince Gill. Even though she moved away from home at age eight, she always looked forward to visiting family. She took care of others as she was able, from praying for others to watching over her nursing home roommate, who was more disabled than she was. Throughout her life she endured much and overcame much. She knew that Jesus loved her and died for her.

Glenna was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Brad and Edika Buckman of Dallas, Texas; her sister and brother-in-law Amy and Bart Herndon of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; her brother and sister-in-law Chris and Jennifar Buckman of Belleville, Arkansas; her nephews and niece Dallas Herndon, Brandon Buckman, Brian Buckman, Brenton Buckman, Jalyn O'Gorman, Ethan Herndon, Bradley Buckman, and Braden Buckman; and her great nephews and great niece Mason Buckman, Jase Buckman, and Madilyn Buckman.

A memorial service was held at Glenna's nursing home, The Hillcrest of North Dallas. The funeral service will be 2 pm, Saturday, July 20, 2019, at the Havana United Methodist Church with Chaplain Bart Herndon officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, July 19, at Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville. The interment will be at Russell Cemetery, Belleville.

The pallbearers will be Dallas Herndon, Brandon Buckman, Brian Buckman, Brenton Buckman, Jalyn O'Gorman, Ethan Herndon, Bradley Buckman, Alec Green, and Logan White.
