G.M. "Jerry" O'Neal, age 87 of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Methodist Village Senior Living. He was born December 14, 1936 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late George Monroe O'Neal and Maulsia Zell "Marcie" Christen O'Neal. Jerry was a United States Marine Corp Aviator Veteran with 14 years of service. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a PhD. in Engineering. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild, Alyx Jae Jacimore.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Patricia Ann O'Neal of Fort Smith; three children, Mike O'Neal (Ria) of Fayetteville, Mark O'Neal (Stefanie) of Fayetteville, Kelly Jacimore (Mike) of Fort Smith; two sisters, Debbie Jones, Peggy Ebbing; eight grandchildren, Stephen O'Neal, Megan O'Neal, Conner O'Neal, Cade O'Neal, Kyle O'Neal, Sydney Jacimore, Abby Jacimore and Maggie Jacimore.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00A.M., Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Heritage Church, 1604 Pointer Trail, Van Buren, Arkansas 72956.
