Gordon Francis Hamblin Jr., age 75 from Dardanelle, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at his home. Gordon was born December 19, 1948, to the late Gordon Hamblin Sr. and Mildred Henry Hamblin. Gordon worked for Jacuzzi Brothers for 20 years and retired as a Lock Master for the Corps. Of Engineers. He was also a member of CACHOG and Patriot Guard Riders. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, and served in the Vietnam War.

Gordon was married to Pamela "Momo" Hamblin for 41 years until she passed away in 2018. He lovingly served her throughout their marriage. Family and close friends knew him by his nickname "Paw". He lived more for everyone else than he did for himself, rightfully earning himself that loving title for anyone who came to know him more closely. He took great joy in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which was always evident by his boisterous laughter at their personalities. Before retiring he enjoyed officiating High School football with the football crew. In his free time after retirement, he enjoyed keeping the yard mowed and kept up on a strict weekly schedule that he determined and picking up his grandkids from daycare with a Happy Meal waiting in hand. "Thank you's" handed to Paw were always quickly given a "That's my job" response, evident that he lived for others in his daily actions.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Mike Hamblin and wife of 41 years Pamela Hamblin. Gordon is survived by one son; Beau Hamblin (Whitley) of Dardanelle; two stepchildren; Darren Murphy (Joanna) of Bauxite and Amanda Murphy of Searcy; one sister Kathy Rice of Little Rock; four grandchildren; Karlie, Katie, Brody and Ellison, and four great-grandchildren; Emmett, Rowan, Kaiser,
and Liam.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 17 th at 2pm at River Park Church of Christ in Russellville, AR.
