Rev. Harold Chris Walker age 82 of Dardanelle went to be with his Lord on August 12, 2015. He was born October 1, 1932 in Roland, Oklahoma to the late Clarence Aston and Pearl Lavay Freeman Walker. He graduated from Roland High School and Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock where he received his Doctorate. He served the Lord for over 60 years in churches in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. He was pastor in Ft. Smith for 28 years and then served at Chalybeate Springs Church for 17 years before he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Norma Jane Walker and step-father, Conce Lee Wilson. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Nelda Finkenbinder Walker, son, Chris and Marilyn Walker of Dardanelle; brothers, James Ray Walker of Kaufman, Texas; C.A. and Linda Walker of Ben Wheeler; Texas, Joe Lee and Dee Walker of Vacaville, California; sister, Wanda Harris of Roland, Oklahoma. Services will be Saturday, August 15, 10 AM at the Dardanelle Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Borum. Visitation will be 9 AM until 10 AM before the service at the church. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Dardanelle. Pallbearers are Joe Walker, Harve Walker, Clinton Patrick Walker, Bobby Charles Walker, Kyle Finkenbinder, Kenneth Finkenbinder. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Finkenbinder, Michael Finkenbinder, C.A. Walker, James Walker and members of the Chalybeate Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
