Harry V. Foster, age 78 of near Rover, Arkansas, breathed his last breath on earth and entered into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at home surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1943, in Waveland, Arkansas to the late M. B. Foster, Jr. and Mary Etta Brown Foster.
Harry graduated from Havana High School in 1961 and attended Arkansas Tech University and University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where he received a bachelor's in Agricultural Economics in 1967. He had many careers ranging from vice-president of the Production Credit Association, farm and timber management, and spent many years as the production/shipping coordinator at Petit Jean Poultry. He loved raising cattle with his wife and brother-in-law. He was an expert woodworker, avid hunter and outdoorsman, and had a hunger for sharing his Jesus with everyone he met. He was a member of Grace Church in Belleville where he loved serving the Lord with his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife and favorite cow hand, Jo Ann Hall Foster; his three children and their spouses, Cheryl Brannon (Mike) of Danville, Stephen Foster (Kelly) of Subiaco, and Stephanie Whitson (Bryan) of Dardanelle; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Brannon, Adam Brannon, Ty Brannon, Brandon Whitson, Rylie Whitson, Emma Foster, and Abigail Foster; and two great-grandchildren; sister Fern Yandell (Charles); and brother-in-law Charles Hall (Anita).
Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 29 at 2:00 pm at Grace Church in Belleville with Brother Logan Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will be at New Bethel Cemetery in Kingston.
Pallbearers include Brandon Whitson, Mike Brannon, David Laster, Bill Dickey, Mike Novinger, and Randy Gillespie. Honorary pallbearers include Charles Hall, Clyde Hall, Joe Dishongh, Charles Yandell, Bill Brothers, Joe Hissom, and the Grace Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Grace Church building fund P.O. Box 27, Belleville, Arkansas 72824.
The family would like to give a special thanks for all the love, support, and care during Harry's illness to Arkansas Hospice, Dr. Allan Kirkland and clinic staff, Dr. Scott George and clinic staff, Conway CARTI, Chaplain Larry at CARTI, Berry Drug Store, Grace Church, Scranton First Baptist Church, Fair Park Baptist Church, and his girls at Casey's in Perryville.
