Obituary

Hayden Pruitt age 93 of Moore, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Featherstone Assisted Living in Moore Oklahoma.

He was born August 23, 1925 in Belleville, Arkansas to the late JW" Bud" & Letha Womack Pruitt. They lived in the Dutch Creek area, where they farmed. He attended Belleville school until the 8 th grade. He when into the Army, where he served in Japan and served in combat during the Korean war, he was a member of the 45 th infantry division (where he drove a truck). He returned to Yell County and served with the AR National Guard.

He married Jerrie Chambers at the First Assemble of God Church in Danville. They moved to Oklahoma City. Jerri passed away in 1996. Hayden continued on in his life until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Otis and Harold Pruitt; sisters, Nell Martin, Louise Turnage, Maddy Zeigler, and May Frost.

He is survived by his son David, wife Janice and granddaughter, Shelby all of Moore, OK; his sister, Jane Jones of Leesburg, OR.

Although his work required him to be away from home a lot, his biggest hobby was spending time with friends and family epically doting on his granddaughter.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Danville Assembly of God Church with Bro. Raymond Black officiating. Visitation will be 1 to 2 pm before service at the church. Burial will be at Lower Spring Creek Cemetery.
