Helen Louise Elmore White age 92 of Belleville passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014. She was born on May 10, 1922 in the Sugar Grove Community (Logan County) to the late R.R. and Bea Elmore. She married L.O. White Jr. on January 16, 1943 and they had five children. She is preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, three sisters, and a daughter-in-law Lois White. She was a retired lunchroom cook of the Belleville & WYC School systems. A job she truly loved so she could be close to her children, grandchildren and all of the students she called her own. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Paul (Judy) of Sun City Arizona, Larry (Betty) of Danville, Edward (Betty) of Pleasanton, TX, Fred (Linda) of Havana, and Treva (Charles) Combs of Havana; sisters-in-law Kris Elmore and Elizabeth Elmore. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren all of whom she was so proud of. She was also blessed and cherished all of the time she got to spend with her 14 great-grandchildren. There are many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, other extended family and friends left behind to cherish her memory. Mother, Mammy, Grandmother, or Granny never retired from always taking care of, worrying about, or loving all of her family and friends. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her name to a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, at WYC Church of Christ with Bro. Gary Colley and Bro. Gene Littleton officiating. Burial will be at Havana Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Dean Catlett, Charlie Bennett, J.L. Martin, Matt Gillespie, Zachery White and Austin Zulzer. Honorary pallbearers include Bob Rogers, Buddy Gray, Gene Cox, Goldie Strickland, Myrna Konkel, Teshia Reddin, Dr. William Isley and the staff at Mitchell's Nursing Home Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville
