Herbert Lee James age 82 of Belleville passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Chambers Memorial Hospital.

He was born November 15, 1934 in Waveland Arkansas to the late Troy & Ozelma Wilkinson James. Herbert was a member of the Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church. He was a cattle & poultry farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Norma Jean Ferguson, Helen Jackson; and nephew, James Harold Jackson.

Survivors include sisters & brother-in-law, Hazel & Carroll Martin of Danville; Mary Ellen Wade of Cedar Park, Texas; five nephews and three nieces.

Funeral service will be 10 am Friday, January 13, at the Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Stapleton and Rev. Mark King officiating. Burial will be a t Upper Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Thursday, January 12, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Kenny Jackson, Willie Jackson, Don Martin, Michael Martin, Lynn Ferguson
