Rev. Herman JoDale Pennington age 87 of Dardanelle, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He was born August 5, 1938 in Blacksburg, South Carolina to the late Lloyd Sampson "Sam" Pennington and Elizabeth Painter Pennington. Herman was a loving husband, father and papa. He was both a fisherman and a fisher of men. He never met a stranger, and was always sharing his newest jokes, stories, and his love of Jesus. He played a daily game of Kismet with his wife and always boasted when he won. He hated idle hands and was always looking for a home project. He was a graduate of South Eastern Bible College in Florida. He spent 40 plus years as a pastor in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Arkansas. He loved and was loved by his family very much. Though he will be missed, he has finally gone home to where he longed to be with his Lord and Savior.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Ginger Deloris Morris, Myra Jo Bly; brothers, Roy, Troy, Yeach, I.V.; sisters, Juanita, Hazel, Sadie and many beloved nephews and nieces.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Pennington; son-in-law, Russell Morris; grandchildren, Tina Headley (Tyler), Crystal Adams (Rodney), Shauna Kitchens, Chelsea Baker (Kasey) and great grandchildren, Shelby Adams, Austin Beggs, Ian Beggs, Lilly Baker, Elizabeth Baker, Kyndall Headley and Brooklyn Kelley.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2025, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday at Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Belleville. Burial will be in Upper Spring Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Adams, Tyler Headley, Russell Morris, Austin Beggs, Johnny Nordin, Kasey Baker and Ian Beggs.
