Hobert Wood Hobert Edward Wood age 84 of Dardanelle died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at his home. He was born June 1, 1927 at Logan County in Delaware to the late Brownie and Donnie Higgins Wood. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a life time member of the Boyce Woods VFW Post #3141in Dardanelle. He loved to play music, loved everyone and loved to laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Terry Dale Wood; five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Erma Dean Wood of Dardanelle, AR; children and spouses, Jerry and Barbara Wood of Hardford, CA, Gwen and T.P. Vanlandingham of Kerinan, CA, Rhonda and Danny Wood of Soma, CA, Shauna and Tom Smith of Bakersfield, CA, Scotty and Sherry Wood of Dardanelle, AR, Garry Wood of Danville, AR; Brenda and Jim Baker of Ava, Missouri, stepdaughter, Sissy and Louis Nichols of Dardanelle; one sister, Mildred Laswell of Indianapolis, IN; thirty nine grand and great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday February 21, 2012 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m. before the service at the chapel.
