Irl Delano Littlefield, 85, of London, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on August 1, 2026, while under hospice care.

Born in Fittstown, Oklahoma, August 25, 1940, son of Bernie Barney Littlefield and Nellie Lorretta Mae (Stevens) Littlefield. Irl proudly served his country in the United States Navy before dedicating many years of service as a county operating engineer for Stanislaus County, Modesto California.

Irl was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. Affectionately known as the “fish whisperer.” Family and friends joked that he could catch a fish in any puddle of water. His passion for fishing, family and his easygoing nature created countless cherished memories.

Irl is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Frances Elizabeth Littlefield; his twin brother, Marion Dale Littlefield; his brother, William Edward Littlefield; and his grandson, Dewayne Lee Qualls II.

Left to cherish his memory is his dearly beloved wife of 40 years, Janie Littlefield. Children: Ronnie Lee Littlefield (Tammy), Rebecca Jane Littlefield, Dewayne Lee Qualls (Roberta), Steven Boyd Qualls, and Douglas Ray Qualls. Grandchildren: Ronnie Jr., Samantha Marie, Melissa Elizabeth, Brandon, Richard, Paige, Brian, Derrick, Megan, Cody, Dustin, Kevin, Leanna, Johnny, Lucky, Christopher, Connie Jo, Ashley, Katie, Kayla, and Kimberly; as well as many great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Irl will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, and the joy he found on the water and in the great outdoors. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
