Jacob Samuel Pernula, age 30 of Russellville, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born December 9, 1993 in Lancaster, California to Margaret Pernula. Jacob was the Executive Chef at Arkansas Tech University. He was an avid guitar player, loved fishing, dirt bikes, Hotwheels and cooking.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Pernula; his mother, Margaret Blair (Thomas); one daughter, Tovi Rae Pernula; three brothers, Matthew Pernula (Tammy), Jeff Harnick, Jamie Blair and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

A family conducted memorial service will be held at a later date.
