Jake James Jr., age 90, of Danville, AR peacefully left this life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Chambers Memorial Hospital.

Jake was born July 19, 1928 to Jake James Sr. and Jicy Valeria Mobley James in Havana, AR. Jake served in the United States Army and the AR National Guard. He retired as the Truck Shop Supervisor for Wayne Farms after 47 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 64 years Ruthie Louvenia Jones James, his daughter Ruth Ann James Sloan, granddaughter Sunny Lee Susanna James, brothers Jim, John and Robert James and sister Lizzie James Priddy.

He is survived by a daughter, Martha Sue James Wagner, son Benny (Regina) James, sister Florene James (Carroll) Ramey. Grandchildren: Jennifer Mitchell, Brigette Cobb, Brandi (Tim) Tyra, Colt Wagner, Katelyn James, and Kyle "Bo" James. Great- Grandchildren: Bailey (Cody) Heflin, Kelsie (Jerry) Brown, Mikey (Hannah) Mitchell, Trent Cobb and Logan, Lily and Adalie Tyra. Great Great Grandchildren: Trennan and Ellie Brown and Harley Mitchell.

He is also survived by very special friend of 70+ years, Clynelle "Nellie" Clemons and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 5th at the Lake Dardanelle State Park in Dardanelle beginning at 1:00 pm.
