James L. Coffey Sr., age 82 of Dardanelle passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at Russellville Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born June 22, 1936 at Dardanelle to the late Seth and Sarah McClure Coffey. He was a member of the Faith Church in Dardanelle and was also a Retired Navy Veteran, where he was a hospital Corpsman for 22 years. He also worked with his late wife Betty Coffey working and driving the Regional Book Mobile. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Coffey and three brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include his sons, James L. "Terry" Coffey Jr. and Tim Coffey of California; two sisters, Polly Merritt and husband Delma of Dardanelle, Betty Scott of Dardanelle; three grandsons, James L. Coffey III of Washington State, Josh Coffey of California, JR Coffey of South Carolina and two great grandchildren, Zane Coffey and Logan Coffey both of Washington State.

Funeral services will be held 2:00P.M. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held from 6:00P.M. to 7:30P.M. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
