James Joseph "Sonny" Dickey Sr. age 75 of Belleville, AR. passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 at his home. He was born January 24, 1937 in Havana, AR. to the late James Issac & Anna Mary Smoluch Dickey. He was a member of the Big Marzard Hunting Club in Hot Spring. He was preceded in death by his parents; son James J. "Jimmy" Dickey Jr; brothers, Carl David Dickey, Charles Daniel Dickey and Paul Edward Dickey Sr. Survivors include wife of 23 years Flo Dickey; children & spouses, Robert &Jackie Dickey of Hot Spring; Cheryl & Danny Ditgen of Buckville; William R. & Carmen Hulsey of Gulfport, MS; Odessa Lynn & Doug Keller of Portland, Oregon; brothers, Phillip Dickey of Hot Spring and John Dickey of Pencil Bluff; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Liberty Community Church with Rev. Earl Stapleton officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Belleville. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Rob Carpenter, Ed Gray, Jim Coster, Jimmy Van Dyke, Bill Berry, Don Noblett, Paul Dickey, David Dickey and Drew Dickey.
