James Owen Earl Groos Jr., age 84 of Dardanelle died Friday, May 26, 2017 at Conway Regional Health Center. He was born March 27, 1933 at St. Charles, Missouri to the late James Owen Earl Groos Sr. and Alma Faye Hendricks. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Dardanelle, where he loved to sing. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Geraldine Melton.

Survivors include four children, Sandi Short of Dardanelle, Debbie Barnett of California, Pam Bolen and husband Jerry of North Carolina, Kelly Carello and husband Joe of Pennsylvania; one sister, Billie Jean Moses of Missouri; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
