Jim Gerling James "Jim" Lee Gerling age 74 of Russellville died Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born February 19, 1939 at Munster, Ohio to the late Herman August and Evelyn Catherine Brumbaugh Gerling. He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Atkins. Jim loved to fish, hunt, play golf, and watch stock car races and football. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Gerling. Survivors include his wife of 41 years Patricia Ann Gerling of Russellville; three daughters, Laura Ann Scurry of Reno Nevada, Norma Jane Nicholls of Glen Haven, California and Dawn Marie Gerling of Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandchildren, Rodney James Scurry of Kyle, Texas and Dallas Brooks Scurry of Reno, Nevada; one brother, Melvin Gerling of Loveland, Colorado; three sisters, Shirley Watts of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Janet Toreksdorf of Bradenton, Florida and Carole Hubbard of Parrish, Florida and several nieces and nephews. There will be a prayer service Saturday, November 2nd at 1:00pm at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Atkins by Father Ernie. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to be made in Jim's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
