James "Jimmy" Harold George, age 94 of Dardanelle, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center. He was born July 8, 1928 in Carden Bottoms, Arkansas to the late James "Pete" Hamilton George and Katie Mae Dunn George. He was a member of the Dardanelle First Baptist Church, he served in the National Guard for 10 years and he retired from Arkla Gas and the Dardanelle City Council Member after 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Freeda Riggings and Rudy Nell Kirk.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary Ellen George; one son, Kenneth and Cheryl George of Dardanelle; one brother, Bill and Kay George of Dardanelle; four grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, noon to 2:00P.M. at the Dardanelle First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday at the church with Bro. Carl Fair officiating. Burial will be private.
