James D. Hastings age 81 of Belleville passed away May 3, 2016 at his home.

James was born September 29, 1934 in Wynn, AR. to the late W.D. & Mamie Sorrels Hastings. He a retired USDA Inspector, Airforce Veteran of the Korean conflict, and a 55 year Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mamie Sorrels Kilburn of Walnut Ridge and W.D. Hastings of Larned, KS.; infant grandson, James R. Hastings Jr.

Survivors include his wife Wilma Hastings of the home; sons, John and Sherry Hastings; James (Jim) and Sharon Hastings all of Belleville; sisters, Donna Winchester of Walnut Ridge; Linda Kaiser of Manhattan, KS.; nephew, James and Jackie Winchester of BoneTerre, MO.; grandsons, Justin, Jake and Joey Hastings and step grandson, Matt Morris; one great-grandson, three step-great-granddaughters, three great nieces, four great-great-nieces and one great-great nephew.

Graveside service will be 10:00 am Friday, May 6, 2016 at Upper Spring Creel Cemetery with Masonic and Military Honors and Bro. Larry White officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm at the funeral home.
