James "Jimmy" Ervin McConnell age 64 of Plainview passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at his home.

Jimmy was born February 7, 1955 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late E.T. & Faye Gaylor McConnell. He was a member of the Hill Top Church, and he was a logger. He loved hunting, fishing and loved driving back roads.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his children Jammie Benson and Olen Jacob McConnell; mother of his children Kathy Creekmore; siblings, Betty Carol & Larry Crites of Dardanelle; Corky & Debbie McConnell of Ranger; Troy & Lisa McConnell of Birta; grandchildren, Nadia Creekmore and Ethan Jay Creekmore; step-mother, Sheryl Lampkins and many nieces, nephews, cousin and many friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Hilltop Church on 467 Brush Creek Road in Plainview with Rev. Frankie McConnell and Rev Bruce Swanson officiating. Burial will be at New Bethel Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Bink Vines, Floyd Avery, Michael Dean Smith, David Smith, Lester Thomas, Ronald Knight, and Scott Blair.

Honorary pallbearers include Dean Smith, Bill Yates, Jerry Minnie, Denny Crain, Joe Dishogh, Larry Rose, Bid Hopper.
