James "Jim" Mahon Murphy, Jr. age 78 of Danville, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born September 7, 1946 in Belleville, Arkansas to the late James M. "Mutt" Murphy and Elizabeth Agnes Sain Murphy. Jim loved his family and God deeply, he was a golf fanatic, loved the Razorbacks and baseball. He will be missed dearly by his wife, children and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Frankie Page and Reva Sue Garrett.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Bonnie Murphy; three children, Denise Webb, Michael Hafenbrack (Sandy), James Murphy III; two sisters, Rose Grace, Jenny Quinton; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
