James A Nearn

12/3/1946

Methodist

Son of the late Pete and Verla Mae Nearn; Brother of the late Terry and Mickey Nearn. A husband that loved to give his wife a challenge and took very good care of her, wife Mrs. Kimberly Spencer Nearn. They were known as Fire & Gasoline & married 32 years. A great mentor and father to his adoptive children, Ashleigh Moore and Jeff Lewis. A proud grandfather to the greatest children on earth. They brought him great joy in life. He said life didn't truly begin until he had grandchildren, Carter-James, Gabriel, Mad Max, Baby Carbon, Hunter, Bentley-Lane, Gracie-Mae, Zack and Abigail.  A proud Uncle of the Nearn Clan of Vickie, Steve, Libby, Mike Seftar, Laura Kay and Mike.  Father/ Mother in-law Earl & Helen Sparks. He had a special bond and fatherly love with Sherry Pitt.

Jim loved guns, Crown Royal Reserve, shooting completive, knife making, taxidermy, carving and wood turning, tinkering, eating home cooked family meals, gambling, watching his wife in yard giving supervision to get a stir out of her. He was one well respected & talented man!

He served in US Army and retired Senior Mechanic Corp of Engineers at the Hydro Power Plant Dardanelle. Even after retirement they called him for advice on the PowerHouse.

Jim personally chose to be cremated and requested no service and ashes to be placed in Brearley Cemetery cremation vault.

The old genius hippie was one cool, gifted and kind human.

Jim requested you make donations to cover a vet bill, activity fund for Special Need Individuals at Bost.Org in Russellville or do random acts of kindness to honor him.

2 Timothy 4:7 – "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

See y'all on the other side of glory land!
