James Clayton Potter passed away November 25, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

James was born April 20, 1954 in Aly, Arkansas to Otto and Verl Potter.

James took pride in working hard, from his years as a truck driver to becoming a business owner. In all the miles he traveled for work, he never met a stranger that didn't become his friend. James loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, collecting rocks and his Little Debbie snack cakes. But most of all he loved his family and his greatest joy was his kids and grandkids. (And of course, his Jeep)

James is survived by his long time love, Gail. His children, Michelle Jones and husband Scott of Exeter, California; James W. Potter of Ranger, Arkansas; Grace Cochran of Fort Bragg, California. Grandkids, Samantha Jones, Ashley Jones, Clayton Potter, Aurora Bazor, Charli Jones, Violet Bazor, Melody Bazor, and Marshall Potter. Siblilngs, Vanita Spears, Nadean Jones, Jearldean Tarkinton, and Carney Potter and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Verl Potter, sibling, Doris Clemmons and Jerry Whitworth.

A celebration of life will be held at the Aly Fire Station November 30th at 11:00 am.
