James Carl Smith age 83 of Dardanelle died Saturday, February 9 at River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle. He was born July 31, 1929 in Boydell, Arkansas to the late Tommy and Verder Smith. He was a life long resident of Greenville and Leland, Mississippi. He was a 32 Degree Mason and a gas and oil distributor. He was a Korean Air Force Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Elizabeth Smith and a sister. Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Buster and Cheryl Smith of Russellville, two grandchildren, Merideth Smith and Justin Saughter of Russellville. Graveside memorial services will be at 2:00P.M.,Wednesday, February 13 at Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle with Pastor Gail Cole Brooks officiating.
