Jana Lynn McDaniel Scott age 43 of Briggsville passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 at her home. She was born June 10, 1971 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Thomas and Johnnie Rogers McDaniel, Sr. She was a mother, homemaker, and a member of the Christian Light House Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas McDaniel Sr. and Johnnie Orr; son, David Scott McDaniel-Fenton; brother, Roger McDaniel; step-mother-in-law, Frances Scott. Survivors include her husband Johnny Scott; son Brandyn Scott; and daughter Brooklyn Scott both of the home; brother, Thomas (Sherry) McDaniel of Ingleside, TX; mother-in-law Carolyn Chenowith of Bluffton; father-in-law, Arlen Scott of Briggsville; long time best friend Rachelle West Watkins of Waldron; and a host of nieces and nephews family and friends. Funeral service will begin 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Plainview Jesus Name Pentecostal Church with Brother Stacy Lisenbey officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
