Janice Marie
"Bewley" Spears
December 8, 1951 – August 21, 2024
Janice Marie Bewley Spears age 73 of Danville went to be with the Lord Jesus, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Chambers Memorial Hospital.
Janice was a business owner in Danville for many years and throughout her 23 years of owning Janice's Flower World she helped generations of families in Yell County. Janice was known in our area as being "the card lady". She sent cards out to people for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, as well as many other occasions.
Janice spent her entire adult life being an encourager. Janice was well known for her beautiful smile as well as being someone anyone could go to if they needed advice or needed to be lifted up during a hard time. Even in the last few years as she had her own bumps, she continued to laugh and love and walk through all of it with joy and grace. She refused to complain regardless of the hard circumstances. Janice's focus each day was to say things and do things to make others smile too.
When she owned Janice's Flower World she donated items, money, and time to the community constantly. She decorated for many events in our area free of charge as well as sponsoring teams and individuals in all our area schools. After selling the flower shop, Janice continued to sponsor and donate to event after event from her Plunder business as well as the beautiful flowers and wreaths she made from her home. She gave to so many and loved to do it.
Janice was born December 8, 1951, in Martinez, CA. to the late Steve Copeland & Verna Lahoma Malone Bewley. She was a member of the Danville First Baptist Church. In most recent years, Janice attended the Church of Christ in Havana where she was a treasured congregant by Bro. John McCourt and the people of that church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law Clyde Henry Spears, and her brother-in-law, Gary Beasley
She was survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronnie Spears; daughter, Christie Davis (David); son, Scott Spears (Ragina); brother, Terry Bewley (Phyllis); sister, Kay Beasley; mother-in-law, Winnie Pickens; grandchildren, Kacey Parsons (Davey), Josh Davis (Brittney), Colt Davis (Savannah), Kailey Woodard (Stephen), Raychel Rose (Troy), and Garrett Spears (Lynnlee); great-grandchildren, Morgan, Bo, Lynlea, Jacelyn, Olivia, Eli, Stevie, Stetson, Scottlyn, and Samuel "Clyde" and a host of many other treasured family and friends, whom she deeply loved.
