Jasper A. Ramsey, 88 of Dardanelle, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at Dardanelle. He was born March 7, 1927 in Horatio, Arkansas to the late Horace A. and Dovie Faye (Miller) Ramsey. He was the owner of Dardanelle Western Auto, a water purifying company, Eureka Egg Farm, and had also worked for Cornwell Funeral Home. He retired from the housing authority as the maintenance supervisor, but continued working part time as a repairman on small engines. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Helen (Moore) Ramsey; and a brother Floyd Ramsey. Survivors include his wife, Vernice Ramsey of Dardanelle; two daughters, Cathy Bartlett of Dardanelle, Debbie Barnett of Delaware; three grandchildren, Greg Bartlett, Misty Fraser both of Dardanelle, and Amanda Wurst of Harkey's Valley; six great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; four stepchildren, Judy Morton of Pottsville, Paula Helton, Vickie Glenn, and Steve Ross all of Russellville; seven step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 6, at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel, Dardanelle with Brother Bob Freeman and Brother Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will be at Brearley Cemetery, Dardanelle. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at Cornwell Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle.
