J.B. Ellis, age 75, of Plainview passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 at V.A. Hospital in Little Rock.

J.B. was born July 6, 1947 in Weeks, Arkansas to the late John W. & Beulah Brothers Ellis. He was a logger. He was blessed to have 53 years with the love of his life. He loved watching his grandchildren in their various activities. When he was not working he loved hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bobby Ellis, and Larry Ellis; sister, Darlene Ellis; sister-in-law, Sandra Ellis and brother-in-law Paul Bair.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Edna Smith Ellis; children, J.B. Jr. and Nancy Ellis of Danville; Michelle and Greg Hill of Danville; Melody & Chris Hance of Casa; siblings, Mary & Don O'Bryant of Russellville; Barbara Bair of Plainview; Lee Ellis of Rover; Kenny & Terri Ellis of Center Ridge; Michael & Gina Ellis of Plainview; sister-in-law, Kelly Ellis of Plainview; grandchildren, Kara Hill of Fort Sill, OK.; Colby Hance of Casa; Ethan Ellis of Danville; Caden Hance of Casa; great-grandson, Julian Hill of Fort Sill, OK. And a host of nieces and nephews

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Don O'Bryant and Bro. Michael Ellis officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at New Bethel Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Jonathan Elmore, Ronny Ellis, Jonathan Ellis, Bud Bair, Nathan O'Bryant and Tony Ellis.

Honorary pallbearers include Larry Don Elmore, James O'Bryant, Johnny Ellis, Jeremy Ellis, Drew Ellis, Zak Ellis, Brandon Wilson and Tyler Wilson.
