Edith Jeanell Woodard age 91 of Danville died Friday, March 1, at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. She was born November 20, 1921 in the Waltreak Community, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Jacob Ernest and Delta Lee Bailey Pool. She was a cook for the Danville Grill, which her parents owned for over thirty years. People came from all over Arkansas to taste and buy her pies. She was a very special mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Tate. Survivors include sons, James Ernest and Jeanette Black, John Lowell and Jeanne Baker, Danny Lee and Patty Woodard all of Danville. She also left behind five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nephew, Mitch and Retha Tate of Danville and niece, Nancy and Mark Feldman of Harrison, one great-nephew and two great-nieces, three great-great-nephews and one great- great-niece. Services will be Monday, March 3, 2013, 2 PM at Cornwell Chapel in Danville. Burial will be in Earl Ladd Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 PM until 2 PM before the service.
