Obituary

Jeanette E Witt, 85, of Dardanelle, passed away March 27 th , 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 19 th , 1935 in New London, CT. She was a member of the Russellville Christian Center.

She was preceded in death by her mother Rose Delaporta Jacobs Donaghy, father Melvin Jacobs, husband Kenneth Witt Sr, brother Edward Jacobs, sister Barbara Holmgren, daughter Lura Witt, and grandson JJ Witt.

Jeanette is survived by her son Kenneth Witt Jr. (Nanette), daughter Karen Shewmake (Wayne), daughter Susan Cuevas (Johnny), daughter Marianne Witt, grandson Matt Witt, granddaughter Danielle Witt, grandsons Dustin Kane (Julia), Chris Kane (Angela), granddaughter Kyla Kane, granddaughter Amber Witt, grandson Rob Witt (Erika), and daughter-in-law Alicia Witt. Great-grandchildren Kayden and Parker Witt, Kalea Kane, Axelle Kane, Kinley Kane, Kylin Xayadeth, Isaac Ojeda, Craigin Witt, Madison Witt, and several nieces, and nephews.

Standing 5' tall and a ball of fire: She inspired and expected hard work, dedication, and excellence. Leading by example she practiced what she preached. There were no excuses for slacking. While others may call it tough love, we would refer to it as a realistic education for life.

Jeanette "Mamma/Mom" raised 7 children throughout her life. She and her devoted husband spent 57 years giving to others. Ken served during the Korean war and met Jeanette during his time in Connecticut where they were married, and both worked to help build submarines.  Her fulfillment was to make sure others did not go without. She raised 5 kids while working a full-time job and 2 more after retirement. Mamma's house was always full of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The only thing she asked for in life was for her family to come to her house for spaghetti on Sundays, Holidays, and every day they could, she enjoyed family and friends.

Mamma was an inspiration to many and a true epitome of a family-oriented lifestyle. She will be deeply missed, but her contributions to this world will forever be imbedded in our memories and history.

"For your kindness, I'm in debt to you. For your selflessness, my admiration."
