Jeff Steward Montgomery, 63, of Plainview, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Born on January 11, 1963, in Russellville, Arkansas, Jeff was the son of the late John "Fred" Montgomery and Doris Imogene Steward Montgomery.

Jeff dedicated 28 years of service to Grandeur Fasteners before retiring. He was a faithful member of Plainview Jesus Name Church and lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. He proudly served his community as a firefighter with the Plainview Volunteer Fire Department and later as Justice of the Peace for District 11 in Yell County. Whether serving in public office, responding to emergencies, or lending a helping hand to a neighbor, Jeff was always willing to help others.

Jeff was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to fix just about anything. He had a passion for mechanics and loved spending time fishing. Rarely without a project in progress, he found joy in working with his hands and sharing his knowledge with those around him.

More than anything, Jeff cherished his family. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather who treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren. His kindness, steady presence, and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Kay Cox.

He is survived by his sons, Jarrod Montgomery-Collins (Josh) and Brent Montgomery (Kendra); his brother, John Montgomery (Paula); and his beloved grandchildren, Greyson Montgomery, Mason Montgomery, Ariella Montgomery, and Killian Collins, along with numerous extended family members and many dear friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Plainview Jesus Name Church with Bro. Stacy Lisenbey officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Justin Lancaster, Billy Frost, Jeremy Moore, Jacob Moore, Lou Palmer, and Freddy Jones. Jeff's cherished grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Jeff's legacy of faith, hard work, service, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
