Jeffrey Lynn Black age 50 of Danville passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in his home. He was born January 25, 1962 in Alton, IL. to Buel and Peggy George Black. At age 13, he began to play lead electric guitar by ear. He became very accomplished at this and became the lead guitarist in his high school band. Many confronted him for lessons however he unable to do so. He was a Navy Veteran. Preceded in death by his father Buel Black, maternal grandparents Robert (Jack) and Johnnie George, and paternal grandparents Arvel and Bethel Black both of Ola. Survivors include his mother Peggy George Black (Coffman); half sister Sherry Black of Illinois and many aunts, uncle, cousins and friends. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Mt. George Cemetery.
