Jerry Brown On February 24th, Jerry Brown, 53, of Atkins, Arkansas passed away after a brief illness. Jerry was very patriotic and lived life on his own terms as a free spirit. He loved his family, kids and grandkids dearly. Jerry grew up in Fort Worth racing BMX and motocross and he was the best among his peers. He attended Southwest High School and served in the US Navy. He was a very hard working man. He was very friendly, enjoyed the company of friends, and would carry on engaging conversation with most anyone who interested him. His mother, Nellie, was very special to him and he loved his little brother Tim and sister Julie very much. He was best buddy to son, Alex. As Alex said, "He was my bestest friend and a great father." Jerry loved the Cowboys and Razorbacks. Jerry was a good person and with wife, Nancy he became a wonderful husband and father to Alex. Jerry said Nancy was his angel and God gave them each other. Nancy loves him very much and will miss him. Jerry was preceded in death by father Roger Brown and step-father Charley Wilkirson. He is survived by mother Nellie Wilkirson, wife Nancy Brown, children Astasha LaMar and son-in law Randy LaMar, Casey Brown, Jeremiah Brown, Alex Brown, step-daughter Amanda Pace and son-in-law Jake Pace, and grandchildren Jadon Pace and Sadie Pace, sisters Rikki Hudgens and brother-in-law Mike Hudgens, Donna Ables and brother-in-law Richard Ables, and his little sister Julie Patterson and brother-in-law Brad Hopkins, and brothers Alvin Brown and Tim Brown and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville.
