Obituary

Jerry Raymond Hottinger, age 77 of Pottsville, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born October 5, 1944 in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late Charles Raymond Hottinger and Susie Bernice Berry Hottinger. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, John and Mildred Staggs Hottinger, Floyd and Susie Eudy Berry and his great great granddaughter, Ke'marii Parrish. Jerry and Sharon enjoyed forty-one wonderful, dedicated years together. A few years after his retirement from Con Agra Foods, he was employed part-time by St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and Millard Henry Clinic in the Engineering Department where he performed various job duties and worked on special projects as needed.

He loved the Lord and his church family and was involved in many church activities. Sunday School and Bible Study were his favorite classes. He was a Christian man and loved everyone.

He was a member of the National Bench Rest Shooting Association (NBRSA) and participated in annual competition shoots in Lafayette, Louisiana (The Crawfish Cup), Phoenix, Arizona (The Cactus Classic) and The Super Shoot in Canton, Ohio.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and working in his shop at home. His family was his pride and joy. He delighted in attending activities that his grandson, Greyson, was involved in which included baseball and band. His granddaughter, Kalyn, excels in competition dancing and he always made sure he kept up with her schedule and watched her performances.

All his grandchildren were special to him and loved by him and they loved him and let him know by telling him often. They all live in this area except Hunter. Hunter is a Sergeant in The United States Marine Corps stationed in California and is currently in Australia. He was very proud to share with people that his grandson is serving his country as a United States Marine.

Jerry's absence from our lives is a great loss but is only temporary as we are destined to be together forever in Paradise.

John 14:3. King James Version….. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Rest in peace, our precious love.
