Jerry Dale Kliewer passed away on August 11, 2012. He was born on September 12, 1935 to David and Carrie Kliewer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was preceeded in death by his loving wife Kathryn Elizabeth Flurry - Kliewer, mother, Carie Jewel Wurst - Kliewer, father, David Peter Kliewer and sister, Patricia Ann Sibel. Jerry spent over 40 years in Houston, Texas. He and his wife enjoyed a love filled home with their two beautiful children. Jerry loved God and his family. He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. He was hard a working man and worked in banking for most of his life. He worked for Southmore Savings in Pasadena, TX and City National Bank in Houston, TX before retiring from banking and moving on to other ventures. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, grape growing, and painting. He treasured his time spent with family and friends. All good memories they will cherish forever. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his son, Peter Justin Kliewer and Roxanne of Delaware, AR and his daughter, Elizabeth Diane Kliewer - McCann and husband Joey and his grandson, James Nelson Yoder of Houston, TX, two brothers, Robert Lee Kliewer and wife Marita of Oklahoma City, Ok, Edward David Kliewer and wife Kathy of Cypress, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:000P.M, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Brother Wylie Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Dardanelle.
