Jerry Wade Knighton, age 57, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Born on November 15, 1967, in Texarkana, Texas, he was the beloved son of the late Jerry William Knighton and Willa Jean. Jerry was known for his love of drag racing and his thoughtful nature in picking out special gifts for his family. He cherished spending time at the shop with his family, grandsons, friends and mostly his main partner and best friend, Rusty. He enjoyed listening to Dial a Trade and was always looking for something cool to buy. He was lucky enough to have a little brother Terry, that always had his back, even when all they had was each other. His infectious laugh and smile will be dearly missed. He is leaving behind the legacy of the shop to be passed down generation after generation.
Jerry is survived by his two children, Rustin Wade Knighton and wife Amy of Russellville, and Jessica Jade Taylor and husband Corey of Russellville; three grandchildren, Praze Knighton, Ryatt Hardy, and Hollis Taylor, all of Russellville. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Tammy Knighton of Russellvlle; his brother, Terry Knighton and wife Kaitlin of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters, Delisa Jones and Tracy Bobo, both of Hope; Special nieces Taylor Knighton and Kaylea Knighton of Texarkana, Texas, along with a special brother in law Matthew Adcock of Clarksville Tennessee. Also, special cousin Candice Potts and special friend Tom Boyd, also mourn his passing, along with several other family members.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Graveside services will be private in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector. Pallbearers will include Rustin Knighton, Jason Keeling, Joey Holcomb, Todd Jarman, and Matthew Adcock, with honorary pallbearers Frederick Rounsavall, Johnny Rounsavall, and Terry Knighton.
