Jewell Dean Hill, age 87 of Delaware, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born September 5, 1936, in Delaware, Arkansas to the late Roger Clyde Wurst and Dora Mae Elam Wurst. She loved playing the piano and had given lessons over the years to many students. She had always been a nurturing care giver to sick family. She enjoyed decorating her home, was a meticulous housekeeper, and enjoyed tending to her plants. She also was a lover of dachshunds and had several beloved pets over the years. Jewell was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred Hill and four siblings, Mary Evelyn Anderson, Carl Roger Wurst, Richard David Wurst, and an infant brother; three children, Deward Ralph "Buttons" Noble II, Steven Howard Noble, Karl Ray Noble and her grandson Alexander Nathan Hall, and great grandson Kayden Anthony.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Judene Hall; one sister, Christine Jones; Niece Melissa Smith; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and other family members, including all her caregivers and nurses at Dardanelle Nursing Center. There will be a memorial service for family and friends on Saturday, July 13th at 1pm at the Delaware First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating.
The family would also like to give out a special thanks to the Dardanelle Nursing Center for their excellent care of Jewell for the past 7 years.
