Jimmie Lee Ellis Jimmie Lee Ellis, 85 of Dardanelle, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at River Valley Medical Center at Dardanelle. He was born March 11, 1930 at Dardanelle to the late Cris and Nora Stevenson Ellis. He was a member of the Dardanelle Free Will Baptist Church. He was an electrician and a retired fireman. Mr. Ellis was a United States Navy Veteran, Korean conflict, and a member of the National Guard. He loved to go crappie fishing, hunting, and working in the garden. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joann Ellis; grandson, Gregory King; and two brothers, Pete Ellis and Duard Ellis.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Ellis of Dardanelle; children and spouses, Randy (Missy) Ellis, Nancy King, Charles (Norma) Ellis, Chris (Carla) Ellis; a step-daughter, Cindy (Mitchell) Whitehouse; grandchildren, Meridith (John) Childers, Russell (Melissa) Ellis, Kristen Ellis, Megan Ellis, Maggie Ellis, Carey (Jeff) Bosold, Jamey (Janie) Ellis; 12 great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren, Natalee (Grant) Herman, and Ian Whitehouse.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2015 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Brother Jared Higginbotham officiating. A private family burial will be in Brearley Cemetery, Dardanelle. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. before the service at the chapel.
Honorary pallbearers include retired workers for AP&L and the Dardanelle Fire Department.
