Jimmie Carroll McCoy, age 83 of Plainview, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. He was born June 30, 1941 in Birta, Arkansas to the late Henry McCoy and Annie Chola Fletcher McCoy. Jimmie was a member of the Plainview Church of Christ. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and he worked for Law Enforcement for over 40 years, 11 years as the Plainview Chief of Police and over 30 years with the Yell County Sheriff's Office.

Jimmie is preceded in death with his parents, sisters Mary Leach, Nancy Porter, and brother, Billy Charles McCoy.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Brenda McCoy, daughter Linda Green (Mike), grandsons, Matt Green (Jessie), Brandon Green (Caitlin), Great-Grandchildren Colbie, Liam, Marshall. Brothers Johnny (Evana) McCoy of Bauxite, Paul (Pam) McCoy of Alexander, Glenn (Gayle) McCoy of Benton, Frank (Joann) McCoy of Higdon, and sister Linda (Ronnie) Lochamy of Benton.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, November 15, 2024 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Bruce Swanson and Bro. Butch Gossett officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial will be in Birta Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Porter, Jerry Porter, Larry Williford, Derek Bollan, Brandon Bird, and Mark Maughn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Plainview Church of Christ Coat Drive, P.O. Box 284, Plainview, Arkansas 72857.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his Logging Friends, Yell County Sheriff's Department, Ola Police Department, and Plainview Police Department
