Jimmy Don Cox Sr age 75 of Dover died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his home in Dover. He was born May 27, 1940 at Mulberry to the late James and Sible Downy Cox. He attended of the Dover First Baptist Church. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, watching the great grandchildren play and teaching them all about construction. He was the owner/operator of Cox Construction for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Dorthy Cox.

Survivors include his wife, Becky J. Bacon Cox; two sons, Ronnie Coles (Teri) of Oklahoma, Jimmy Cox Jr of Morrilton; two daughters, Tammy Shelby-Simmons (Allen) of Van Buren, Kelly Narveson (Terrance) of Russellville; two step-sons, Jeff Bacon of Russellville, Greg Bacon (Stacy) of Conway; step daughter, Melissa Cagel (Chuck) of Dover; sister, Ruthanne Brown-Fletcher (Doug) of Van Buren; six grandchildren, Amber Newkirk (Matt), AJ Abel (Kasi), Jacob And Owen Narveson, Kyndall and Taylor Cox; eleven step grandchildren, Jessica, Aaron (Julie), Tyler (Morgan), Taylor (Caitlin), Nathaniel and Brooklyn Bacon, Adreonua Higgs, Caden Cagel; five great grandchildren, Jaxon Abel, Maci, Zoey, Bryce and Ranse Bacon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Jeff Paxton and Jeff Walchshauser Officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Fronczek, Nathaniel Bacon, Aaron Bacon, Tyler Bacon, Taylor Bacon, Donny McConkey and AJ Abel.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Doc O'Bannon, Dean McCain, Keith Scott, Robert Phifer, Steve O'Bannon, Rod Phifer Jacob, Owen, Kyndall, Taylor, Amber, Jessica, Brooklyn, Adreonua, Caden and Chuck Cagel.
