Jim Weatherford, 67, of Harkey Valley, passed unexpectedly from complications of diabetes. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 21 years Ruth, 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and the best mother a son could have. He worked as a carpenter for many years and was a self- employed truss manufacturer. In addition to playing with his grandkids, his other favorite activity was coaching football and baseball in the River Valley, even qualifying a team from Russellville to play in the Little League World Series.

A Celebration of His Life will be held Friday, Feb. 2 at 3 pm at Centerville Freewill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle for funeral expenses.
