Joan Laquitta Boyd age 84 of Dardanelle, Arkansas passed away on October 31, 2020 at her home. She was born March 25, 1936 in Carden Bottom to the late James Bert and Marie Olivia Johnson. She rescued and adopted many kitty cats including Binky Sue and Buffy Jo that she had for many years. Others included Boodles, Taz, and Tiny Girl who was a 2020 addition. She was known to family and friends as "Quitta", and loved family and family time. Joan enjoyed cooking, traveling, stock car racing and football but her favorite relaxation time was playing computer games. Quitta made it safely home leaving us precious memories.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Jesse Leon Boyd; two sons, Kendall and Jimmy Roland of Dardanelle; one daughter, Gayla Ove Sheick and husband Steve of Marietta, Georgia; three grandsons, James and Jon Roland of Dardanelle, Justin Ove of Marietta, Georgia and one great grandson, Tanner Roland of Hector.
