Joe Alvin Higman age 73 of Hartford passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith.

Joe was born November 25, 1947 in Etowah, Arkansas to the late Johnny Albert & Edna Rose Fowler Higman. He was a logger.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Kelly and his parents.

Survivors include his children, Johnny Ray Higman, Eddie Lee Higman, Barbara Ann Parker, Wanda Lou Crum, Marilyn Sue Blackwood, Rosa Lee Higman, Janie Kaye Roy, Margart Rose Higman and Billy Joe Higman; sister, Mary Ann Cooper; brothers, Jessie Nathan Higman and Albert Jr. Higman; 23 grandchildren and 11great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at 12:00 pm Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Hunts Chapel with Rev. Jonia Smith Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Hunts Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Eric Cooper, Toby Cooper, Dustin Roy, Mark Higman, Billy Higman, and Eddie Higman.
