John William Allen age 78 of Danville passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. He was born July 30, 1933 in Kentucky to the late Edward Allen & Bessie Allen Chancellor. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Edward Allen; brothers Charles & Jim Allen. He was a Korean Army Veteran and he owed & operated Allen's Garage. Survivors include wife of 57 years Barbara Jean Alexander Allen; sons Johnny Allen of Conway; Bobby & Mike Allen both of Danville; daughter &son-in-law Sandy & Gerald Purser of Danville; grandchildren Michele, Krystal and Laura Allen; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Warren. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Casa First Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Alexander officiating. Burial will be at Needmore Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. before service at the church.
