Our most beloved son, John Wayne Brown, decided to depart this world on February 5 th, 2023. He left this world with his bible open and playing a song by Mercy Me. His faith was unwavering, and his love for God was center in his life. Born May 24, 1999, John was 23 years of age. In May 2022, John graduated Arkansas Tech with 2 BA's and he was furthering his education in STEM with the hopes of applying to
medical school in Spring 2024. He was passionate about abused children and dedicated much of his free time working with CASA and being an advocate to help make a difference in their lives.
John was a graduate of Dardanelle Schools in 2017, and immediately left for recruit training with the Marine Corps, serving 4 years. John had many debilitating illnesses, and his chronic health conditions were large obstacles in his life that he struggled daily to maintain. His passion and perseverance to push
through the illnesses that manifested daily. John's strength was his greatest attribute. He put high expectations on himself for health, education, moral standards, and integrity.
John is preceded in death by grandparents Patsy Davis and Jimmy Hopson. He leaves behind his parents James and Leanna Brown of Dardanelle, his brother Alex Brown of Little Rock, sister Faith Hesselbein of Conway, and his 3 furry loves, Ruger, Sassy, and Nala. His Grandparents include James and Nan Brown of
Dardanelle, Harlen Davis of Dardanelle, and Marie Genereux of Dardanelle.
John will be laid to rest at Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 10 th from 6-8 at the First Baptist Church in Dardanelle and Funeral will be Saturday, February 11 th at 10am at First Baptist Church in Dardanelle.
Pallbearers will be his dad, James, his brother Alex, his uncle Josh Withouse, his Pappy James SR and his cousins Bruce Canerday and Christopher Surprenant.
Honorary pallbearers will be "the guys".
The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Dardanelle First Baptist Church Youth Group.
