John Franklin Chance Jr., age 78 of Plainview, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023 at his home. He was born December 13, 1944 in Watson, Arkansas to the late John Franklin Chance Sr. and Youtha Adcock Chance. He loved teasing everyone he met and he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering with old cars and collecting Native American Artifacts. John was preceded in death by his parents, John Franklin Chance Sr. and Youtha Adcock Chance; son, John Chance III; daughter, Cindy Chance and a sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Williams.

Survivors include his son, Michael Chance (Nancy) of Humboldt Hill, California; daughters, Sandra Chance of Arcata, California, Theresa Chamberlain of White City, Oregon; brother, Robert Austin of Orlando, Florida and two sisters, Fran Reece (Bud) of Mt. George, Arkansas, Christine Gulley (Tim) of Samoa, California and many grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

To honor Johnny's wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to privately celebrate Johnny's Memory in your own ways. We know that he will be with us all in spirit.
