John Elmer Johnson of Russellville passed away peacefully in his home on September 26, 2019 surrounded by his family.  He was 88 years old.  Mr. Johnson was born on January 28, 1931 in Hartshorn, OK and spent most of his life in California.  He moved with his family to Arkansas after retirement in 1993.  He was a beloved family man and served his country proudly in the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bonnie Johnson, his daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Bill Taylor of Russellville and Vicki and Eric Trimble of Wynne, five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, William and Ruby Johnson, his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Billy Mitchell and their two children, Jennifer and Joshua Mitchell, six siblings, Eddie, Jim, William Jr., Tom, and Liberty Johnson, and nephew Blaine Johnson.
